                              2009 Noble Park Chess Club Open

The 3-rd Noble Park Chess Club Open, to be held at Paddy O'Donoghoue Centre 18-32 Buckley Street Noble Park 3174.                                                             Saturday May 5 to July 11 2009

                                  9 Round Swiss Tournament, ACF and FIDE rated!!!

Venue: Paddy O'Donoghoue Centre 18-32 Buckley Street  Noble Park 3174  (Melway 89 E3).The playing venue is excellent,with full air condition just 1-2 minute walking distance from Noble Park train station and there is plenty of free parking available.

Entry fees: GM and IM free provided they enter by Friday 1-st May, Full fee $60, Concession and Juniors $50 with $10 discount for Noble Park Chess Club members.

Payment: Due on the first day of the tournament.

Prize fund: The following prize fund is based on 40 players (otherwise 80% of the entries will go back to the players)

1st:  $500
2nd: $300
3rd: $150
4th: $100

2 Rating Group Prizes: $150 in each division

Best Junior Prize: $150 (min 5 junior entries)

If there are more than 40 entrants, the prize fund will increase.
Prizes will be shared equally between players on equal scores.
Starting time: 2 p.m. sharp on all playing days

Rate of play: 90 minutes + 30 sec per move

Note:
The club is able to cater for 40 players in regards to both room and chess equipment, however if you are on the playing list by Friday 2 pm,(08/05/2009) we will be able to make the adjustments. If you decide on the day that you are playing, we would like to ask you to bring a chess set and a clock otherwise we can't guarantee that you will be able to play.
